Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of climate systems, atmospheric science, global warming mechanisms, climate models, and observed and projected climate change impacts.

PLO 02

Mitigation Strategies

Analyse and evaluate greenhouse gas emission reduction strategies across energy, transport, industry, agriculture, and land use sectors at local, national, and global scales.

PLO 03

Adaptation Planning

Develop climate adaptation plans and resilience strategies for vulnerable communities, ecosystems, and infrastructure in the context of Pakistan’s diverse geographic and socio-economic landscape.

PLO 04

Sustainable Development

Apply the principles of sustainable development and the United Nations SDGs to assess, plan, and implement interventions that balance environmental, social, and economic goals.

PLO 05

Renewable Energy

Understand the principles, technologies, and economics of renewable energy systems including solar, wind, biomass, and hydropower, and their role in the energy transition.

Environmental Policy

Analyse international, national, and local climate policies, agreements (UNFCCC, Paris Agreement, NDCs), and regulatory frameworks, and evaluate their effectiveness.
