Preliminaries
- Observance of the rules and regulations of the University in force from time to time.
- Keeping their Students ID Cards visible at all times on campus.
- Follow the appropriate Dress Codes as per cultural values.
- Maintain class attendance as required.
- Avoid Abuse of the University's Asset or Property.
- Abstain from profanity or defamation of the University on Social Media Forums.
- Not indulge in unauthorized representation of the University on any social, print or electronic
media forum.
- Maintain canvassing, examination, and discipline during conduct of Examination.
- Respect for diversity, religion, and culture while observing religious duties/customs of their own.
- Loyalty to Pakistan and refraining from doing anything repugnant to its honor and prestige.
- Truthfulness and honesty in official matters of the University.
Prohibited Acts
The following acts are prohibited for students:
- Organizing or taking part in any function inside the University or organizing any club or society of
students except following the prescribed rules and regulations, unless permission is granted.
- Collecting any money or receiving funds or pecuniary assistance for or on behalf of the University
except with written permission.
- Staging, inciting or participating in or abetting any walk-out, strike, or other forms of agitation
against the University, its teachers, officers, or authorities; inciting anyone to violence or
disruption
of the peaceful atmosphere in any way; making inflammatory speeches or gestures; issuing pamphlets
or
cartoons; or doing anything likely to promote rift and hatred among students.
- Theft of any item which is University property, including unauthorized taking away of library books
or any equipment.
- Intentionally using words or actions to provoke or encourage others to violent or retaliatory
behaviour,
or other acts of misconduct.
- Assemblies engaging in unlawful acts that cause or imminently threaten injury to person or property,
or infringe on the rights of other members of the University community.
- Use of University facilities or equipment for political activities, or indulgence in
political/ethnic/racial activity at the campus.
Harassment
- The University strictly adheres to the HEC defined Harassment Policy in Institutions of Higher
Learning. In addition, the University also counts the following acts as Harassment:
- Passing remarks, placing visual or written material aimed at a specific person or gender with the
intention of physical assault or causing harm.
- Any unauthorized use of electronic or other devices to make a picture or audio/video record of any
person while on University premises without his or her prior knowledge.
- The University does not tolerate any form of harassment or victimization and expects all students
and
teachers to treat each other with respect, courtesy and consideration.
- Any student who feels she/he has been subject to harassment can make a written complaint to the
Department Chairperson via the appropriate procedure.
- All such complaints shall be forwarded to the Registrar's Office for further action via the Dean
within
three (03) working days of receipt of the written complaint after initial
scrutiny/fact finding.
Moral Dishonesty
Moral dishonesty means an act which does not conform to known norms of decency.
Abuse of the Student
Conduct System
Abusing the student conduct system includes, but is not limited to:

Indecent Behaviour at
the Campus

etc. — defying the norms of decency, morality, and religious/cultural/social values by
single or group of students. |

Damage to the university fixtures/furniture, scribbling/carving on desks, wall chalking,
misusing lab/university equipment, etc. |

Use of mobile phones in classrooms, examination halls, labs, and library, thus disrupting
the discipline of the said places. |

Making speeches, shouting slogans, or circulating printed/photocopied material derogatory to
Islam, any religion, Pakistan, any racial/ethnic group, the prestige of the University, its
faculty, employees, or other students. |
Enforcement of Code of
Conduct
- All faculty members, administrative staff, support staff, and students will be expected to monitor
this
code of conduct and report any violations to the relevant authorities. Matters of indiscipline will
be
referred to the DSA Office, which is authorized to take necessary measures. Parents
of
students who disobey authority will be informed. Students may be held accountable for the acts of
misconduct of their guests while on University premises.
- Misconduct in a classroom when a student is under the charge of a teacher shall not be allowed. A
punitive action such as a fine, removal from the classroom, or punishment of greater magnitude may
be
imposed as decided by the empowered authority.
- Female students facing any kind of harassment from any person at the Campus must report the incident
to the respective HOD or the Registrar's Office. The respective committee shall advise the VC for
required actions.
Punishment / Penalty
for Acts of Indiscipline
Punishment or penalty for acts of indiscipline shall be according to the gravity of the case and may be
any one or more of the following:

Appeal
- An appeal against the penalty may be submitted by the student with the Director of Students Affairs
within three (03) working days of the announcement of the punishment.
- No appeal shall stand against minor penalties other than a major appeal.
