Faculty & students of Aror University Sukkur experienced an inspiring day hosted by Pano Aqil Cantonment, showcasing the discipline and dedication of the Pakistan Army.

The event commenced with a wreath-laying ceremony at Pak Chowk, a solemn tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Following this, a group photo session at the same location brought everyone together, symbolizing unity and respect for the armed forces.

Prof. Dr Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice-Chancellor Aror University Sukkur, had a productive meeting with senior army officials, emphasizing the collaboration between academia and the military.

The most engaging part of the day was the GOC’s interaction session, held in the grand JMPH hall, which started with an insightful 30-minute opening talk by Maj. Gen. Shehryar Qureshi, GOC 16 Division, who shared his valuable lessons on leadership, discipline, and resilience. This was followed by a 2-hour Q&A session, where faculty and students eagerly asked questions about military life, national defense strategies, and the role of the youth in nation-building.

A brief but heartfelt souvenir presentation ceremony was held, where gifts were exchanged as tokens of appreciation. During the working lunch, guests had the opportunity to mingle with army officials, discussing topics ranging from national security to the contributions of educational institutions like Aror University Sukkur in shaping future leaders.

The day concluded with a visit to the stalls set up by the cantonment and a thrilling APC ride. These activities gave participants a firsthand experience of military equipment, showcasing the technological advancements and capabilities of the Pakistan Army.

“A Day with the Army” left attendees inspired, fostering pride in the armed forces and a commitment to contribute to national progress.
